Our founder and lead creative designer, Britt, came to gardening as her second-wind career. Her first chapter unfolded in the world of luxury fashion, where she spent a decade shaping brand image, curating styling direction, and designing client spaces for brands including The Row, Thom Browne, and Nike.
A committed environmentalist, Britt grew increasingly aware of the waste and relentless pace embedded in the fashion industry. She began seeking a path that allowed her to keep creating — to build beautiful, considered spaces — without contributing to unnecessary environmental impact. Gardening became that path: a practice grounded in intention, stewardship, and the quiet satisfaction of working with nature rather than against it.
Britt is currently an apprentice at the Colorado Botanic Gardens, working toward achieving her Master Gardener certification by the end of 2026. She is also training in Ikebana, expanding her approach to plant design through the principles of balance, restraint, and sculptural form.
Brittanical Gardens has since grown into a multidisciplinary studio, bringing together seasoned craftsmen, master horticulturists, and botanical specialists. United by a shared commitment to environmental responsibility and refined, sculptural design, the studio approaches every project with the quiet precision of an atelier — creating gardens and outdoor spaces that are thoughtful, enduring, and deeply connected to place.
